Content Eligibility Policy

Effective Date: August 5, 2026 - Last Updated: August 5, 2026

This Content Eligibility Policy explains what types of content may and may not be submitted to videodownloader.live ("videodownloader.live," "we," "us," or "our") for downloading, conversion, clipping, export, storage, or other processing through the Service.

1. General Rule

You may only use the Service for content that:

  • you own,
  • you created,
  • you control,
  • you are licensed or authorized to use,
  • is in the public domain,
  • is openly licensed for your intended use, or
  • may otherwise be lawfully processed under applicable law and the source platform's terms.

If you are not sure whether you have the right to process content through the Service, do not submit it.

2. Content Generally Eligible for Processing

Subject to the rest of this policy, the following categories are generally eligible:

  • Files that you upload from your own device or storage.
  • Content you created yourself.
  • Content you own as part of your business, employment, or organization.
  • Public-domain media.
  • Open-license or creator-authorized media, when your intended use complies with the applicable license.
  • Content for which you have express written permission to download, convert, clip, store, or otherwise process.
  • Content where the source platform and applicable law clearly permit the intended use.

3. Content Generally Not Eligible for Processing

You may not use the Service for:

  • Copyrighted content that you do not own or are not authorized to process.
  • Paid, subscription-only, DRM-protected, access-controlled, or paywalled media unless you have clear legal authority and the Service expressly supports the lawful use case.
  • Content obtained in violation of platform rules, creator restrictions, or contractual terms.
  • Content that requires bypassing technological protection measures, encryption, token controls, streaming protections, geo-controls, or other access restrictions.
  • Content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, fraudulent, defamatory, abusive, hateful, exploitative, invasive of privacy, or otherwise unlawful.
  • Third-party content submitted for scraping, mirroring, ripping, bulk archiving, or unauthorized redistribution.

4. Platform and Source Restrictions

Even if content appears publicly accessible, that does not necessarily mean it is lawful or authorized to process through the Service.

You are responsible for checking:

  • the source platform's terms of use,
  • the copyright status of the content,
  • any creator restrictions,
  • any contractual or licensing restrictions, and
  • any local law that may apply to copying, storage, downloading, clipping, or transformation.

videodownloader.live may restrict, block, or refuse certain source types, URLs, file types, or domains in order to reduce legal, technical, or payment risk.

5. No Circumvention

You may not use the Service to bypass or assist with bypassing:

  • paywalls,
  • subscriptions,
  • DRM,
  • encryption,
  • access tokens,
  • geo-restrictions,
  • anti-bot protections,
  • download prevention controls, or
  • other technological protection measures.

If your intended use requires circumvention of a technical restriction, it is not permitted through the Service.

6. Business and Team Use

If you use the Service on behalf of a business, team, agency, client, or employer, you represent that you have authority to submit the content and to authorize its processing.

You are responsible for ensuring that your organization's use complies with:

  • internal approvals,
  • client contracts,
  • license restrictions,
  • confidentiality duties, and
  • applicable law.

7. User Warranties

By submitting content to the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • you have the legal right to submit and process the content,
  • your use does not infringe third-party rights,
  • your use does not violate source platform rules or contractual restrictions, and
  • your use does not require unlawful circumvention.

8. Review, Blocking, and Enforcement

We may, in our discretion, review, flag, delay, restrict, refuse, disable, or remove requests or content that we believe may:

  • violate this policy,
  • violate our Terms of Service,
  • create copyright or platform risk,
  • create payment processor or hosting risk,
  • involve fraud or abuse, or
  • expose us or others to legal liability.

We may also suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly submit ineligible or unauthorized content.

9. Repeat Violations

Accounts associated with repeated unauthorized or infringing submissions may be subject to:

  • request blocking,
  • feature limitations,
  • account suspension,
  • account termination,
  • refusal of future service, and
  • preservation of records for legal, security, or compliance purposes.
